We started this workshop because “good enough” was never good enough.
West Custom Auto was set up in Balsall Heath in 2021, on the back of more than fifteen years working in body repair: in busy accident repair centres, in small independent shops, and on the kind of high-end jobs where every millimetre shows.
What we kept seeing was the same thing: repairs that looked fine from ten feet and wrong from two. Colour a shade out. A blend line you could find with your eye closed. Filler where there should have been metal. We wanted a shop where that didn't happen.
So the rules here are simple. Prep is most of the job, and we don't rush it. Paint is mixed to the manufacturer code and blended into the neighbouring panels, every time. We tell you what actually needs doing, and what doesn't, before you spend a penny. And if you're not happy with the finish, we put it right.
Everyday cars, vans and fleet vehicles are most of what comes through the door. Bodywork and paint one week, an MOT and a service the next. The same standard carries across all of it.
